We visited The Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan twice in August. The first time was on a rainy day, and the second, in the evening for the sunset. I wanted to capture the vastness of the landscape in a photo. I felt very anxious about going down an enormous sand dune because I couldn’t see the pathway, only the edge.Continue reading “Edgy Pure Michigan”

Nature’s Frame
My husband stands between the trees, and makes a perfect photo opportunity for me, as my eyes are drawn to a natural frame in the landscape. We are at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Shoreline Park in Elmira, Michigan. Of course I had to make sure a sunset photo was planned as part of the trip here. The windContinue reading “Nature’s Frame”
Wedding Anniversary
A glorious pink sunrise on Glen Lake by the Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan. I was happy to see another rainbow this year on our wedding anniversary. A Fun Thank You
~~~A FUN thank you card is inspired by my garden. We’ve been really busy lately, so a quiet morning with time to write my thoughts down and do a 30 minute cardio is good. We’ve been working on selling our house, fixing another, helping my parents, and enjoying boating on Lake Michigan. The busier weContinue reading “A Fun Thank You”
Opposites Attract
I can never get enough of the colors framed up in a sunset shot. The opposite of the dark images against the bright light inspired me. This was a beautiful evening in the Petoskey Marina on Lake Michigan. This post was inspired by: Opposites | The Daily Post https://dailypost.wordpress.com/photo-challenges/opposites/
The Joy of June
The days are getting shorter now that Summer has started. Trying to soak up all the beauty around me and keep it safe in a few pictures.
A Treasured Prayer
The Lord’s Prayer is the Bible verse that we all know well. This is a beautiful sample of the prayer in German on a wax form. My Oma gave it to me. Today, it is one of my treasured items along with many things that make me smile and help me remember her. ~~~~~ Mathew 6:9-13 Our Father, whichContinue reading “A Treasured Prayer”
Eye Candy Witness
Eye Candy is a phrase used to describe something beautiful to look at. The sunset last night was just that. We were drawn to the light as it ushered our eyes into a celebration of color! The contrast of the dark budding branches on the backdrop of blue and pink gradients of color was sent from heavenContinue reading “Eye Candy Witness”
