This is a new pattern design in my shop. While researching moths, I read that caterpillars can be poisonous. My artwork depicts a Tiger moth.
The main design in this collection is on a white background. This will vary depending on the brightness of the substrate or fabric chosen to be printed on. I’m looking forward to seeing how this collection develops. I have a lot of elements to work with, and expand into a bohemian or Scandinavian style design. This is my collection on Spoonflower. https://www.spoonflower.com/collections/340265-boho-moth-floral-by-clarkyworks

Don’t forget, those cute fuzzy caterpillars could be poisonous!
A little visitor came crawling in to view as we were hunting for rocks on Lake Huron.

The best critic, my husband Ron, told me that lions have a chiseled jawline, so I modified my styling. I’m also thinking about how to develop baby bib designs from this artwork, because my step-daughter is having a little girl in August!
Voting for this challenge starts today, Thursday, July 11 for the “Limited Color Palette”. Please vote for my design and other really amazing artwork!

Understanding our place in the world is sometimes overwhelming. I think you can aspire to achieve whatever you set your mind to believe, and be who you want to be. This piece celebrates the amazing people who leave a mark in this world, combining the every day with the extraordinary. A whimsical space theme depicting hair dressers, and the cosmic joy of landing on the moon.
Frogs have been an inspiration since I created my Art Deco frog artwork, which is the most popular design in my shop. It was not hard to choose the colors for this new design, “Spring Rain Frog and Dragonfly–Gray”. Mustard with dusty rose gold and “Living Coral” the Pantone color of the year, are some of the new color combinations I’m inspired to work with.
Looking forward to seeing what May brings.
Christmas time is busy with planning and shopping. I love the nostalgia and all the vintage decorations. This is my design as a table linen with vintage glass ornaments saved from my Oma, and our little gingerbread house from my husband.
Christmas is magical.
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve from our house to yours.

Sometimes ideas for artwork come to me when I’m waking up in the morning while still resting. The flower motif for the my Art Deco style frog design was revealed to me as I was watering plants in our family room. I’ve always believed, to have fresh ideas, one must step away from work and get involved in other enjoyable activities. So, I guess I’ve always liked taking care of plants and flowers.
Please contact me if you are interested in learning more about my process. My current artwork is about nature, whimsy, and geometric shapes. Inspiration is fueled by every day life and art history. More design ideas coming every week! Find me on Spoonflower.com
Thank you Spoonflower for the exposure!

Michigan Summertime is way too short. We always look forward to our warm season, and try to extend it as long as possible, by visiting one our favorite places on Lake Michigan.
Fish Town Artwork by Tresa Meyer-Clark
Fish Town is in Leland, Michigan. A fun place to visit with it’s charming village bursting with energy from retail shanties, fishing tug boats, tourists in boats, and well, fish. You’ll find this an unforgettable, beautiful place that will never leave your heart, once it has hooked it. Historic Fish Town is one of the few commercial fishing villages on the Great Lakes, located on the Leland River, and near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.
My artwork depicts the village with a modern retro vibe with a mix of 1960’s atomic design style. The pattern design can be printed on a variety of products. The tiny bow tie in a satin fabric would be a a fun statement piece for a ring bearer at a Lakefront wedding!
Vacation photos of Fish Town coming soon to your inbox. Please follow me to the next destination!
Feeling Blessed in Michigan.
I just finished this design with toucans and palm trees. Creating a collection is just as exciting as designing the original concept. A larger toucan is on my mind, and a design with more foliage.
Surface pattern design with Toucans by ClarkyWorks
State Straits Marina, Mackinaw City, Michigan
This is a boat at the State Straits Marina in Mackinaw City, Michigan. Of course, it was the shade of turquoise water that inspired me to grab my iPhone. Even though I created the artwork for the tropical toucan before I was in Mackinaw City, I will use this photo for proof, that you don’t have to go to the Caribbean to see clear turquoise water.
More on this theme coming soon to ClarkyWorks.
If you have ideas on what products you would envision this design being used for, please leave me a comment. My designs are available on many products from home decor, wallpaper, gift wrapping to clothing and accessories. You too can design!
